The National Council of Science and Technology (Conacyt) and the Social Security Secretariat will recommend scholarships for single mothers or heads of household. The monthly or bimonthly stipend ranges from 1,600 to 4,000 pesos for university students.<\/p>\n

The minimum amount will be provided if the mother has a child between 12 months and 4 years old. A mother can only have three dependents registered for such benefits in the same period.<\/p>\n

If the mother has a child with a disability, the support will increase to 3,600 pesos every two months. As with the 1,600-peso scholarship, the target age is from 1 year old up to the day before their 6th birthday, and only 3 students can apply in the same period.<\/p>\n

Finally, a scholarship of 4,000 pesos is available for single mothers to study at a public or private university. This amount is paid in additional installments of 2,000 pesos per month at the start of the academic year. The scholarship period ranges from six months to three years.<\/p>\n

There are two processes that can be applied for one of the three pillars mentioned. Who provides Conacyt?<\/h2>\n

This support is provided through the cooperation of the Ministry of Education (SEP) through the National Coordination of Social Security Benito Ju\u00e1rez Scholarships (CNBBBJ), an institution that makes public calls to students of the highest level of study.<\/p>\n

The announcement began last Friday, February 26, and will be available until next Tuesday, March 9, 2021, so there are only two days left to apply and wait to become a scholarship recipient.<\/p>\n
