Created in 2019 and maintained under the administration of Mayor Claudia Sheinbaum, the program aims to ensure that childcare is not an obstacle for women to work, seek employment, or continue their studies. In addition to the federal program, there are state and municipal support programs such as the Single Mom Card, the program ""The Bosses"" from Iztapalapa and the Welfare of Working Mothers of Hidalgo, each with its own amounts and rules.
The support is delivered directly through the Banco del Bienestar card, without intermediaries and at no cost. For 2026, the amounts remain at 1,650 pesos every two months for each child up to 4 years old, and 3,720 pesos every two months in the case of children with disabilities up to 6 years old.
